DESCRIPTION:  \nFollowing difficulties with access to forestry land over recent years and the loss of some significant single venue trials\, in January 2024 Simon and Emma Groves and Ben Tonkin introduced the Bodmin Heights Trial to the Classic Trials calendar\, a multi-venue road trial using both former single venue locations and new sections in new locations for the trialling world to enjoy. \n  \nThe inaugural event ran with much success\, leading to its addition in the ACTC championship calendar for 2025 and cementing its place in the Camel Vale event calendar. DESCRIPTION:The first event of 2025 Camel Vale season\, the first of six Navigational Scatters over the winter months.\n  \nWhat is a Nav Scatter? \nTo put it simply\, it’s like a treasure hunt. \nWe run 6 events a year which usually take place on a Friday night and start in a pub or similar venue. \nIf you’re thinking of having a go\, here’s a rundown of how a typical event goes. \nOnce you’re signed on\, between 18:00-19:00\, you’ll read any final instructions and have your mileage taken.\nAt 19:10\, you will receive a sheet of paper with 16 grid references on.\nAs the name Nav ‘Scatter’ may indicate\, crews can visit these 16 plots/points in any order\, meaning there is no set route and entrants are scattered.\nOn arrival at a clue plot\, you will find a piece of card with half a grid reference and code.\nAs you find multiple half references\, you match them up to find the next round of plots and so on until the final clue. The event will follow the same format as last year starting and finishing at the Borough Arms in Bodmin. \nWe will be accepting upto 80 entries\, plus ten reserves on a first come basis. DESCRIPTION:PLEASE NOTE DIFFERENT VENUE TO REGULATIONS….\n\nTHE EVENT WILL NOW TAKE PLACE AT:\nBofindel Farm\,\nMount\,\nBodmin\,\nPL30 4DU\,\nO/S map 200 147 685. Situated from the crossroads in the middle of Mount\, on the Warleggen Road\, just before the Village Hall on the right.\nSuggested route from West Cornwall direction.\nContinue on A30 for about 4 miles past Bodmin\, passing the two petrol stations fairly close together on the left. Turn left before the flyover and almost immediately turn right and go over the flyover to the T junction\, where left. Pass the Airfield and our regular Autotest field on the left and continue to T junction where left. Continue downhill to the crossroads in Cardinham where straight across. In about 3/4 mile keep right at grass triangle and continue downhill to the river\, ignore the road to the left and then ignore the one to the right as you go uphill. At the top at the multiple junction layout keep straight on\, 2nd exit. Continue to cattle grid ignoring road from right and enter Mount. In the centre of the village at crossroads turn left\, Warleggen\, the field is after the end of the houses on the right and will be arrowed.\nSuggested route from East Cornwall direction.\nContinue past Trago Mills\, then past the Halfway House Inn on your right. In just short of 1/2 mile turn right on a slight right hand bend following this road for about 3 miles\, go straight on at the crossroads into the village of Mount. DESCRIPTION:The first of three field (car) trials that the club are hoping to run. Obviously conditions are currently very wet\, but hopefully by mid May things might have dried out.  \nPlease enter early\, as in the event the club have to cancel due to conditions of the venue we will give you a full refund.  \nThe first field trial is also a round of the ASWMC Car Trials championship.  \nAfter much discussion within the committee we are trialling a new class structure for the event\, where any two wheel drive car can compete from standard road going car to full blown classic trials special.  \nWHATS A FIELD TRIAL \nThe aim of a trial is to follow a set course (defined by pairs of poles numbered from twelve at the bottom to one at the top) as far as you can without stopping up a grassy field. Once you stop you score the number ahead of you. Speed is not key\, reading the ground and maintaining traction is.  \nUniquely trials are the only form of motorsport that the better you do (further up the hill) the longer the seat time you have!! \nPassengers are optional for drivers with road licenses\, and drivers as young as 14 can also compete.  \nWHAT DO YOU NEED \nMinimum RS Clubman Motorsport UK License (for all over 18 occupants) \nCamel Vale Motor Club Membership (or invited club) \nTwo wheel drive car with none aggressive tyres \nSense of fun! \nDOWNLOAD REGS\nENTER HERE
