It is with great regret Camel Vale Motor Club have had to make the decision to cancel this years Castle Hillclimb scheduled to run on the 3rd and 4th August.
Major works taking place at the water treatment plant further down the road from the Hillclimb startline have seen the hillclimb surface deteriorate with the continual passage of heavy commercial vehicles throughout.
The club have inspected the hill a number of times and looked at repairs but the severity of the road surface damage have left us with no option but to cancel.
We are however looking forward to next years Castle with hopefully a greatly improved surface.
