I have had it confirmed that the Autosolo due to be held on the 14th July has had to be cancelled/postponed for the time being. The next autotest will be Sunday 28th July venue to be confirmed but hopefully you will all be able to make it.
Duncan Stephens won the latest Camel Vale grass autotest in heavy rain that made conditions extremely challenging. A select group of eight drivers saw the welcome return of club supporter Kylie Allen and Mark Crowle in their Citroen Saxo’s. Allen drove extremely smoothly resisting the handbrake to net second overall beating Crowle for the first time in a couple of years. Club champion Jason Metters finished in fourth superbly hunting for grip in his MX5 having had a tussle with Andy Knott’s Civic. Liam Hartley finished in sixth, ahead of a the very unlikely tarmac rally BMW E30 of Chris Sutherland and Neil Yates who struggled with overheating but immensely enjoyed there afternoon of twenty four tests.
