Storm Goretti played havoc with the Cornish trees, but the team behind the Bodmin Heights pulled together clearing many trees in the days before the event to enable the trial to run as planned.
A bumper entry of bikes and sidecars saw Mark Seward on a Solo win the Colwith Cup for best bike, while the closeness of class 8 saw the Mudlark trophy head to a different class for the first time on the Bodmin Heights to Simon Oates and Liam Hartley. Ever cheerful Simon was lowest points and index winner so very worthy. Jon Moores competed the last hill in the dark pulling wheelies most of the way up Westlake Wonder unfortunately one under the eyes of the marshal proved costly. Special mention to Andrew Rippon who had a fabulous day dropping just 18 in his Beetle.
A fabulous event, loved by all setting the bar high for trial of the year. Thanks to Simon, Ben and especially Emma for keeping them and the paperwork on track and arranging the huge band 70 marshals.
