Dave Ball ran the clubs second field trial of the year, but this time at a fresh venue in Cardinham. A lovely sloping field with lots of potential that offered a real challenge in the conditions. The forecast was horrendous, and it turned horrendous after two quick rounds of six hills, but everyone continued rapidly to complete four rounds in under 2hrs!!
A huge thank you to Charley Penny, Julia Bricknell, Harvey Waters, Roger Hancock, Paul Rogers and Roger Bricknell for marshalling in the high winds and torrential conditions. Duncan Stephens took the win in his autotesting Saxo dropping just a single point on the last hill, from Jason Daniel in a similarly mounted Saxo. Ryan Williams in his diesel 206 beat teenager Toby Daniel by a couple of points. Stalwart Steve Ball debuted a X90 and won the front engined rear wheel drive class from club Chair Greg Thomas.
