Colin Flashman won the Calvin Kneebone memorial sporting trial overall, hosted by Camel Vale Motor Club – the closing round of the opening half of the ASWMC championship. Very changeable conditions tested the select crews from the off with bright sunshine and torrential rain falling in the morning alone. Flashman with regular passenger Neil Chapman led all day, fittingly having bought the MSR off Kneebone 5 years ago, took his maiden overall win on Kneebones old stomping ground. Long standing friend Alan Murton had a superb day to challenger Flashman finishing sixteen points behind after twenty four high scoring hills, with the afternoon sections drying. George Watson made the trip from the Midlands and completed the podium, just ahead of Andy Prosser who has returned to the sport this year. Mike Wevill finished in fifth ahead of Nigel Shute who continues to experience a huge array of challenging conditions in his first year of competing.
