What is a Nav Scatter?

To put it simply, it’s like a treasure hunt.

We run 6 events a year which usually take place on a Friday night and start in a pub or similar venue.

If you’re thinking of having a go, here’s a rundown of how a typical event goes.

Once you’re signed on, between 18:00-19:00, you’ll read any final instructions and have your mileage taken.
At 19:10, you will receive a sheet of paper with 16 grid references on.
As the name Nav ‘Scatter’ may indicate, crews can visit these 16 plots/points in any order, meaning there is no set route and entrants are scattered.
On arrival at a clue plot, you will find a piece of card with half a grid reference and code.
As you find multiple half references, you match them up to find the next round of plots and so on until the final clue. Expect to cover around 60 miles.

The due time back at the pub is normally 22:00 and points are deducted for lateness.
